Built to attract finches and send pesky squirrels packing, this Top Flight copper finch feeder from Opus is as versatile as it is indestructible. The perches and seed tray on the feeder are both optional. With the perches, you're more likely to attract sparrows, grosbeaks, and blue jays. Without them, you'll see more of the 'clinging' feeders--finches, chickadees, and nuthatches. The optional seed tray keeps seed from scattering, but it also encourages larger birds to visit the feeder. If you just want the little guys to come around, try going without the tray. With six feeding stations and a single seed hopper, the feeder fills from the bottom and is reasonably easy to rinse clean. Ready to hang when it arrives, the unit holds 1-3/4 pounds of thistle seed. The warm copper finish is rust-resistant and ages beautifully. --Emily Bedard
