It is designed for padlocks with shackle diameter of 9/32' or 1/4'. Water wasted in one month from leaks. Gallons wasted: 1. Slow steady drip (100 drops a minute) = 350 gallons; 2. Fast drip = 600 gallons wasted; 3. Small stream = 2,700 gallons wasted. ; 4. Large stream = 4,800 gallons wasted. What unauthorized water usage costs: typical Water bill: Water Usage: 1 unit = 100 cubic feet ( 748 gallons ); Water Meter: 5/8' ( 1200 gallons/hour or 1.6 units ) In only 4 1/2 hours of car washing, children playing or general usage, 7 units of water can be used. If you pay $1.50 for a unit of water you could be charged $10.50. You may also be paying additional fees in usage penalties and or sewer charges which will significantly increase your monthly bill.
