Large Plastic Containers

Is there any limit to the usefulness of large plastic containers? I think when all is said and done and some alien culture is sifting through the remains of our civilization thousands and thousands of years from now, they’ll remark about how excellent our large plastic containers were, and probably bring some back to their home planets to put on display in museums much like we have ancient pottery on display in ours.

Aside from being a sort of art form of our 21st century culture, large plastic containers can go a long way in helping you stay organized. As a mad scientist, I find storing all of my test subject’s organs in large plastic containers is a great way to make sure I’m not mixing and matching the wrong species. I may be trying to engineer the worlds first three headed mongoose, but think of my embarrassment if one of those heads was a chickens!

Uhm, yeah. Well, even if you aren’t a mad scientist, large plastic containers can have some great functionality in the every day home. First of all, they’re a great way to store foods in your refrigerator or pantry. When you’ve made way too much food, a large plastic container can save the day and allow you to enjoy the leftovers throughout the rest of the week.

Durable, safe, and lightweight, large plastic containers can be used to store just about anything. The only limitation to most plastics used in large plastic containers is that some of them will melt if heated, and some especially corrosive chemicals may likewise burn through them. Some large plastic containers are microwave safe, and the ones especially designed for food usually fall in this category. These microwave safe large plastic containers have been dubbed Tupperware after one of the brands that made them first. I’ve got so much Tupperware its ridiculous; the only problem is trying to find the correct top for the container I just filled with food.
